The fifth edition of Knowledge Factory is almost upon us!

What is Knowledge Factory, you ask?

KF is a classy (yet affordable) forum, uniquely curated, to take you on a path of mischief (yeah, you heard right), get your fix on matters of the mind, and network – all at the same time. It originated with the desire to look at the serious, mind boggling stuff we face in the world today, engage on it with some depth, but also in a way that leaves one stimulated rather than with eyes glazing over.

Basically, it’s a way to better understand life while having fun

I was fortunate to attend the previous edition of KF, held in the beautiful coastal city of Mangalore, in January last year (simple pre-covid pleasures). Sport star Heena Sidhu, inspired with her journey to becoming the World Number 1 Pistol Shooter. Founder of Thyrocare Technologies, India’s foremost healthcare diagnostic provider, Dr. Arokiaswamy Velumani, enthralled the packed auditorium, with a rousing speech on his secret recipe for success. Movie/theatre actor Prakash Belawadi, spoke on his long association with Girish Karnad, while weaving in with wit, the dire need for nuanced debate and tolerance in politics and religion today (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G2rGhKw1gk). I still get goose bumps when I think about that conversation!

This year’s KF has taken on the post-covid avataar – entirely online on March 18 and 19, with Dr. Sowmya Swaminathan (Chief Scientist, WHO), Ravi Venkatesan (Venture capitalist, ex- chairman Microsoft/Infosys, UNICEF Special Rep), Shubha Mudgal, Sara Abdullah Pilot, TM Krishna, amongst others. They shall be discussing entrepreneurship, art, public health, gender and more. You don’t want to miss this.

My suggestion:

Put it on your calendar – it’s the coming Thursday and Friday. Plan ahead so as to be done with the bulk of your work for those days. Then make a cup of your favourite beverage and take a break between 4 and 6:30 pm (IST) to listen and interact with a set of stellar speakers (a trivia quiz with prizes for you included!).

I plan to be there. Do you?

Registration ends on 15 March (https://knowledgefactory.co.in/). You can quickly sign up @ https://in.explara.com/e/knowledge-factory-5

Knowledge Factory

Knowledge Factory is a platform for young professionals to meet over a meaningful experience. It is an avenue for knowledge exchange through a fun and interesting way. The tagline Mind. Mischief. More. is about serious fun. It leaves a lot to imagination because the Factory is an open canvas. Much of what will happen over two days is open to interpretation.
